Learn and practice the principles of felt making! Using some wool and various tubs and pans, you can easily create unique and useful works of art for the home. Explore fiber layout, design, suitability of various wools for projects, and more! Projects will include potholders, chair pads, or a small rug. Join us for a fun time and get your fingernails really clean! All levels welcome.
Becky Walker, a wool worker from way back, discovered feltmaking at the Folk School. An advocate of the folk process, she enjoys combining traditional techniques and innovative ideas, and has become known for her container felting method. Becky is on the South Carolina Arts-in-Education roster of approved artists for feltmaking.
