Optional kit available -8.5”x12.5” quilting ruler -Sharp appliqué needles -Quilting 75 needles The following are available in the studio, but bring your own if you would like: -Rotary cutter -Pins -Seam ripper -Scissors -Sewing machine w/ 1/4" foot, free motion foot and walking foot

Description

Learn each step of the process for making a quilt from start to finish. Begin with fabric selection, placement, and piecing tips, including best practices for assembling blocks, sashing, and borders. Cut, piece, press, and repeat. Then, finish with machine-quilting and binding. Project size is relative to experience level, but everyone will leave with a finished quilt. Experienced quilters looking to hone their skills and new quilters welcome; basic sewing skills required.

Week + Weekend. This class continues through November 22.

Lee Chappell Monroe has been creating since she first discovered crayons at age two! She comes from a family of quilters and learned everything she knows from her mother, affectionately known as The Guru. With a love of color and bold, graphic shapes, Lee enjoys designing patterns and teaching all types of classes. She is trained in fine art and graphic design and her work has appeared in multiple publications. Lee is also a BERNINA Ambassador, Craftsy and Creative Spark instructor, and an active member of the Triad Modern Quilt Guild. Lee is the author of "Jump into Sewing," published by C&T Publishing.
