Cathy Merckens was called back to the land to grow food and flowers twenty-four years ago. The journey led her to purchase a small farm in Brasstown in 1999. This became Lane's End Homestead, a small but productive grower of vegetables, herbs, fruits, and flowers distributed locally through a CSA (community-supported agriculture), farmer's markets, and by donation. Cathy has learned from local mentors, workshops, and many hours in the garden.
