Student Materials: Please bring the following: - Camera of your choice (all formats are welcome, but digital preferred). Also bring your camera owner's manual. - A method of macro photography -- either macro lens, extension tubes, or close-up filters - 28mm or wider lens (also good for close-ups) - Spare camera batteries / memory cards - Tripod - Cable release - Polarizing filter - An absorbent cloth - Camera bag or pack for carrying your equipment - Proper clothing for spring outdoor photography. Remember to bring rain protection for you AND your equipment. - Also a good idea: hat, sunscreen, and knee pads for getting down low to shoot - Notebook and pencil - Laptop with basic image-editing program -- Photoshop Elements is fine. (If you can't bring your laptop, the studio has 3 new Macs with Photoshop for shared student use, but to use one of these, you MUST bring a flash drive to save your work.)
School Fee & Materials: No vehicle -- staying on campus.
Instructor Materials: Handouts - Materials and handouts for demonstrations - Personal laptop
Equipment Needs: Harvest Room - Projection screen. (There is one in the studio - but there is also a NEW wall-mounted monitor with Apple TV.) Will use the monitor, so the only equipment needed is an HDMI cable.

Larry Winslett has photographed in many parts of North America, with emphasis on the southern Appalachians and the deserts of New Mexico, Washington, New York, Maine, and Canada. He enjoys capturing all regions' wildflowers, rivers and streams, and unique landscapes, and his photographs have been featured in "Sierra," "Wilderness," and "Wild Mountain Times." Larry uses his work to help raise public awareness of environmental issues and concerns. Macro photography is one of his main passions, and examples can be seen in the book, Wildflowers of Stone Mountain Park and on his website and Facebook pages.
