Student Materials: Please bring the following -safety glasses -protective gloves -closed toe shoes -N95 mask or equivalent -apron -The folk school has basic glass tool kits available for use during class. If you bring your favorite glass cutting tools, please label them with your name.

Equipment Needs: The fusing kilns, tool kits, glass grinders and other fusing tools kept in the tool shed

Description

Add images onto glass in several exciting ways. Use photos, objects, and traditional printing methods to print enamels or glass powders onto glass. Explore photo transfer, monoprints, and resist and relief printing processes. Also, learn about layering of fired images and slumping of glass into molds. Images will be kiln-fired into place on glass tiles. All levels welcome. $

Kimberley Adams has been working with glass since 1990 beginning with a long career as a glass bead maker and jeweler. In 2009, she opened a studio and gallery and turned her attention to kiln-formed glass. She now prints on glass as well as creating deep forms which she sells at galleries and fine craft fairs. She is a member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild.
