Student Materials: Please bring the following:No additional materials needed for this class, but if you have your own favorite weaving tools, feel free to bring them.

School Fee & Materials: FOLK SCHOOL FEE: $$65-$110 Brassard’s 8/4 cotton for the warp. Each student uses ~6 oz. Some good versatile colors are Natural, Royal, and Cerise. - Brassard’s 3-ply Quebecoise wool in neutrals (gris, beige, sable, brun moyen, brique, rouge fonce) and Halcyon Geo Rug Wool in colors (0020, 0290, 0140, 3220, 0210, 0420, etc). Each student needs about 6 skeins’ worth of weft.

Equipment Needs: 8 dent reeds ski/rag shuttles Macombers and Shachts - 4 shaft to accommodate 32" project

Rosemary Spring Wexler weaves functional, historical, and ritual cloth on a barn loom. Since 2019, her craft home has been in Marshfield, VT, where she studied under Kate Smith and Norman Kennedy. She now carries their passion forward in her own teaching, focused on growing students' self-esteem within a living and relevant craft tradition. Rosemary has woven for Laura Ingalls Wilder's historic home, researched spider brains in Scotland, spoken about listening to looms on Montez Press Radio, and helped develop the next generation of programming at the Weaver's Croft.
