Student Materials: Please bring the following: - thread - fashion fabric The following are available in the studio, but bring your own if you would like: - sewing machine - scissors - measuring tape - clear quilting ruler Instructor will provide sewing pattern, cotton coutil, and boning. Three original patterns based on extant historical garments will be available to choose from. Choose between synthetic whalebone and natural stiffeners such as cane and willow.

They are motivated by folk lore, the labors & rituals of our ancestors, and ethical magics with the belief that folk craft braids us to the past as we arc forward to build a more beautiful future.
