Tony Stubblefield began weaving traditional Appalachian baskets over 35 years ago while in college studying to become a medical illustrator. Teaching soon followed, along with drawing detailed diagrams to use in his basketry classes. An avid student, Tony studies antique baskets and takes classes to constantly expand his knowledge of the history and artistry of traditional basketry. He has taught at the Folk School since 2018.
