Equipment Needs: Music Studio: The music studio is equipped with wifi, smart tv, 2 white boards, post-it flip chart, markers, luthier tools/instrument repair center, spare tuners/picks, dvd player, library of song and music books, bluetooth speaker, printer/copier, fully adjustable padded musician's chairs without arms, seat cushions, stools, tables, etc.

Description

It’s fun and easy to start playing the autoharp right away with rhythm strums. From there, it only gets more rewarding as you venture into melody playing. Learn everything you need to get started right, including tuning, holding the autoharp comfortably, chord bar layouts, picks, and strum patterns to accompany well-known songs and play with others. Also, discuss the history and personalities associated with the instrument, such as the Carter Family. Beginning levels welcome.

Karen Mueller is one of the top autoharp and dulcimer players/teachers in the country. She has taught at Western Carolina University and the Swannanoa Gathering in NC, the Augusta Heritage Center (WV),the Ozark Folk Center (AR), Mountain Laurel Autoharp Gathering (PA), the California Autoharp Gathering, Sore Fingers Week in England, Seattle Autoharp Week, and more. Winner of the 1986 International Autoharp Championship and member of the Autoharp Hall of Fame, she has released six solo CDs, authored two books, and contributed to several anthologies. She is known as a patient and inspiring teacher.
