Learn a bit of ukulele history, master tuning, strumming with confidence, and basic chord shapes. For more experienced musicians; elevate your playing by incorporating diminished, suspended, and augmented chords, chord transition tricks, and more. Practice and perform with the Hawaiian Hula class running concurrently.

Peter Coleson started as a drummer in elementary school and switched to ukulele when a friend offered to teach him. It came in handy because his wife is a lifelong Polynesian dancer and they found a way to combine his passion for drums and ukulele with her dance group. Previously, Peter was a member of HALAU NOHONA HAWAI’I, a non-profit Hawaiian cultural school located in Silver Spring, MD. He played in the Halau band for 7 years providing beautiful music for those sharing the Aloha Spirit through Hula. Now Peter teaches ukulele private lessons in Punta Gorda, FL and Lee County Adult Education program. “A world without music would just not be fair.”
