Description

Repousse is one of the oldest existing metalworking techniques. A method of creating bas relief with a hammer stone, it has a long history throughout Europe and America–used by warring Europeans to create wearable "passports" that hung around their necks, by American industrialists to embellish objects and buildings, and by the French to create the Statue of Liberty. Learn rudimentary design and about tools and steps necessary in the creation of a copper object. All levels welcome.
