Michele Parsons is a professional pyrography and woodcarving artist. She is also an author of the "Quick-Start Woodburning Guide" and "Leather Pyrography" books. She is a frequent contributor to Pyrography Magazine and Woodcarving Illustrated Magazine. Michele has taught pyrography classes to thousands of students over the last 18 years, including at the International Woodcarving Congress, the Southeastern Woodcarving School, and the American Woodcarving School. Michele’s interest in leather pyrography evolved into her developing and teaching leathercraft skills.

Tom Parsons has been a lifelong outdoorsman and maker, with keen interests in leathercrafting and woodworking. He was trained as an instructor at IBM and won many teaching accolades and awards during his 40 year career. Tom and his wife, Michele, have frequently worked together throughout her career in pyrography and leatherwork. They reside in a log home with their 2 dogs at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina.
