Melissa Triplett is a lifelong creator, drawn to the beauty of transformation through creativity. She took her first class at John C. Campbell Folk School in 1996, continuing a family tradition of learning, teaching, and craftsmanship. For her, making anything is more than a skill—it is a way to reconnect with and bring creativity into daily life, and see the world through a new lens. With an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Western Carolina University and a Master’s in Business from NC State, Melissa has always been fascinated by the interplay of structure and creativity, precision and flow. Kaleidoscopes are the perfect embodiment of this balance—rooted in geometry and science, yet unfolding into ever-changing beauty and magic. Melissa’s passion lies in pattern design, metal etching, and glasswork, crafting kaleidoscopes that invite wonder and joy. The process is much like life itself - each turn revealing something new, every iteration a reflection of growth. Her teach
