The Gift of Laughter (Long Weekend)

Before there were words, our universal language was laughter. Sharing a laugh creates and strengthens human connections and energizes and relaxes the body and mind. With laughing prompts and exercises, mindful silliness, and relaxed rhythmic movement, this class is for anyone who wants to learn easy and joyful techniques for stress reduction. Writing and story sharing components included, especially helpful in the holiday season. All levels welcome.

Lyn Ford is a fourth-generation storyteller who shares the gifts and heritage of stories from the traditions of her Affrilachian family. A nationally recognized raconteur, workshop facilitator, and author, Lyn is also: a Thurber House mentor to young authors; a teaching artist with the Ohio Arts Council's Teaching Artists Roster and its Creative Aging Project; a certified laughter yoga teacher; a grandmother of ten; and a pretty good cook. An award-winning writer, Lyn's two latest books-"Speak Peace: Words of Wisdom, Work, and Wonder," and "Supporting Diversity and Inclusion with Story" (edited and written in collaboration with friend and fellow storyteller Sherry Norfolk)-both won the 2021 Storytelling World Resource Award.
