A professional chef with a penchant for botany and mycology, Chef Alan Bergo Bergo left a career in the restaurant industry to follow his dream of hunting, studying and cooking wild plants and mushrooms. He’s the author of the Forager Chef’s Book of Flora, winner of Hulu’s Chefs vs Wild outdoor survival & cooking competition, and has been featured on the Today Show, Apple TV, and the Sundance Film Festival. Most know him from his website foragerchef.com-an educational foraging blog that grew to be a full time career. His foraging and cooking show “Field Forest Feast” won a James Beard Award in 2022.
