Student Materials: Please bring the following: - An Opti-visor type headband magnifier with a #5 or #7 lens. This is recommended for the detail work involved. If you do not have one, the instructor can provide one for an additional fee. (Please contact him in advance of class) - A large clean cloth (like an old t-shirt or diaper) and a dishtowel. The former is used for wiping ink off your project and the latter for arm support. All other material, patterns and copy capability are provided. Additional working material is also available for purchase.

Rich Williams has been doing scrimshaw since 1983. He enjoys combining media such as Scrimshaw, woodworking and silver jewelry into a final piece. He takes pride in sharing his knowledge and keeping this original Amerial artform alive. Rich as taught and lectured in Michigan, Ohio. Indianna, California, Georgia and Tennessee and his work has been featured in the National Engraver's Journal
