Calligraphy Tool Extravaganza

Try calligraphy for the first time or improve the skills you already have. Learn to use different calligraphic tools and brush markers and play with new ways of writing and creating word-based art. Have time to work with different papers, colors, and layouts and leave with an understanding of how to create your own calligraphy projects. By the end of the week, you will have created multiple finished pieces using your newfound lettering abilities.

Ann Bailey has a passion for the combination of work with amazing colors. She has been creating hand letters works of art since 1989 when she took her first formal calligraphy class. Her work is colorful, creative and at times a bit unconventional. She has taught calligraphy and design in schools, workshops and via her own studio for more than twenty years. Ann loves seeing the ideas and creativity students bring to each project, and enjoys watching works of art come to life. Her work has been featured in several international magazines, which includes her own publication Paper, Pen and Surface (paperpenandsurface.com). She has created album covers, book covers, posters, international language pieces, murals and has even lettered on furniture.
