Intermediate Irish Fiddle

Immerse yourself in Irish fiddling as we travel together in our minds from Brasstown, NC to County Clare, Ireland. Build your Irish tune repertoire by ear and with sheet music. Study bowing and ornamentation techniques and you'll be playing with an authentic Irish sound in no time! Intermediate levels welcome; must be comfortable playing in basic major and minor keys and have a repertoire of ten to twenty Irish traditional tunes played well.

Tom Morley's career spans more than 35 years and a host of genres. Classically trained with a degree in music education, Tom has followed his passion for Irish traditional music for over twenty years, as a teacher, soloist, and performer. He's made multiple study trips to Ireland and played alongside master musicians Manus McGuire, Liz Carroll, Frankie Gavin, Maurice Lennon, Gerry O'Connor, and Thomas Walsh. He has performed with Cherish the Ladies and opened for We Banjo 3, Solas, and the Brock McGuire Band. Tom has been on the faculty of fiddle workshops and string camps across the U.S., including O'Connor String Method Camp, Fiddle Hell Gathering, and Strings Without Boundaries. He was the first international affiliate for the Online Irish Trad Fiddle Certification program for Griffin College, Dublin. He has an extensive online teaching presence and has led regular live sessions on his personal Facebook page to a worldwide audience since March 2020.
