Student Materials: Please bring the following: - No additional materials required for this class; the instructor will provide all tools and materials for $100 per person. However, IF you have any of the items below, feel free to bring them for personal use -- but again, you are not required to bring anything. If you would like the convenience and pleasure of having some of your own new tools, starred items can be pre-ordered from the instructor (estimated cost for the set of starred items is an additional $35). If you are interested in pre-ordering other items on the list, please contact the instructor prior to class. Give dimension with blind embossing and make your work shine with traditional and modern gilding techniques. Materials to encourage exploration of various media provided; neither drawing nor calligraphy experience is required. $

Sharon Coogle found the perfect melding of her passion for literature with her ardor for visual art in calligraphy. Enjoying the technical challenges of hand lettering and the creative opportunities of literate design, she followed calligraphy into the related fields of gilding, book making, miniature painting, and paper arts, and uses these disciplines in lively combination. Her work has been presented to luminaries around the globe.
