Student Materials: Please bring the following: - A few pieces of pre-washed fabric you would like to print as well as a t-shirt and/or sweatshirt you might like to print. - Please choose one that lays flat and doesn't have ruffles or darts and when choosing a sweatshirt please either choose a plain one or if you bring a hoodie, please pick one that has the pockets stitched on the OUTSIDE, zippers are okay. - They certainly do not need to be new and should also be pre-washed. - You will be able to wear your printed garments once they have dried, so should not add additional bulk to your luggage. -If you normally use a magnifier please bring as it will come in handy for the carving portion of the class.

School Fee & Materials: MATERIALS - paper towels

Instructor Materials: Inks (Speedball Fabric Block Printing Ink) - carving material (Speedball Speedy Carve) - supplemental carving tools - supplemental Fabric of different types - tea towels - material to pad tables for printing.

Equipment Needs: Book and Paper Arts Studio (see inventory) - irons - laser printer or access to a copy machine

Susana McDonnell is the owner of LinoCave, a Boston-based home studio focused on geometric pattern design and block printing on fabric. She holds a BFA from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University and is a lifelong artist who has studied and taught many mediums, including, but not limited to, glassblowing, neon, wood, drawing, and watercolor. Susana is the co-host of #printersolstice, a prompt-based printmaking campaign that inspires printmakers around the world to create during the winter solstice. She is also a Speedball Demo Artist.
