Crocheting is a transportable craft which makes satisfying and beautiful embellishments for everyday enjoyment. Approach basic stitches using crochet thread, hooks, and patterns provided. Learn to follow a pattern and a grid and get uniform tension. Expect to work small, but not miniscule. After creating lovely lace, move on to a delicate doily and Irish crochet motifs. Begin connecting them as time permits. Good eyesight or reading glasses recommended. Intermediate levels welcome.

Following in her grandmother’s footsteps, Lynnette Hesser has been crocheting since she was young and specializes in fine lace and doilies. Attention to detail is important in her artwork. She is a professional artist who is passionate about sharing techniques, skills, media history, and design aesthetics with crochet, other craft, and art enthusiasts. Lynnette has the Master Knit/Crochet Certificate, an MFA, teaches workshops, and crochets daily for creativity and relaxation
