Alyssa Sacora (she/her) is a plant-based craftsperson exploring paper making, book arts, basketry, and natural dyes. Her practice is rooted in observing and tending to relationships between humans and plants. In support of her craft, she caretakes a piece of land in Fairview, NC with gardens, chickens, and bees called The Patchwork Underground, a nod of appreciation to the unseen soil organisms that do much of the work to sustain her life and art practice. Alyssa currently offers workshops at her home studio and has taught at Oak Spring Garden Foundation, Organic Growers School, and several other area venues.
