Have fun learning scrimshaw while keeping an American art form alive. Explore line cutting, stippling and coloration, and progressing from simple patterns to more complex designs. Also, learn to make your own artificial ivory cabochon. Receive tools to keep after class and material for six projects. Materials include artificial ivory, legal fossil ivory (mastodon), tagua nut, and bone. Drawing skills aren't necessary, though patience is a plus. $
